Far East Project was founded in 2025 when I lead a group of 7 to Japan. Having never done anything like this before, it was a huge step outside my comfort zone. As the youngest of the group by far, I had people that I looked up to - relying on me to take them where I promised to take them.

Japan is safe, the systems work, and there are no excuses. Using a revolving leadership structure, each participant is presented with the opportunity to lead. This presents everyone with an opportunity to exam their strengths and weaknesses as a leader, as well as a follower.

We believe that leadership is something that can't be taught in a class, read in a book, or learned idly. It requires one to step out of their comfort zone and act. Doing so in a supervised setting offers young adults the opportunity they need to become a leader in any setting.
